Doxford Farm Walk Part One

Directions

1. The walk starts at the Doxford Country Store where you enter the Front Field via the wooden gate next to the road bridge.
2. Follow the burn and hedgerow till you come to another wooden gate, enter the next field, ‘Little Sheperton’, follow the burn and you will meet the ‘Lonan’ an ancient bridleway.
3. Turn left up the ‘Lonan’ and you when you meet the road keep left.
4. You will follow the road for approx. 200 yars and then enter ‘ Big Sheperton’ straight ahead.
5. Follow the fence line and go through the gate into the ‘Hill Field’ where you follow the fence line and down the side of the wood until you meet the farm road.
6. Turn left onto the road for about 10yds and turn right through an old wicket into ‘Cow Hill’.
7. Follow the woodside and on into ‘Shell Rig’ where you follow the woodside again till you come to post directing you into ‘Brockey’.
